Trash
Residents can take their personal trash to Augusta's Hatch Hill with a separate Hatch Hill permit. Please read the Rules prior to going there. There are several haulers in the area that provide various trash pickup services.

Additionally, residents may also take personal trash to West Bath. 

Recycling

The Town of Pittston recycling center does NOT accept plastic shopping bags for recycling.  These can be recycled at the entrance to your local grocery store.
As of June 20, 2018, only #2 plastic will be accepted.  This includes milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles, gallon vinegar bottles, windshield washer bottles, and any plastic with a #2 in the recycling chasing arrow symbol usually shown on the bottom of the container.
After June 23, 2018, glass will need to be separated into clear and colored and collected separately from #2 plastic.  New separate collection bins will be provided.
